I feel bad for making this blog of mine a facet for my negative emotions that I can’t and don’t want to express on other social networking sites. I’m feeling a lot better now especially since it’s our annual Christmas break from school, giving me an unprecedented amount of time to update this blog. Can’t believe I’m blogging again. I guess cause this is the only outlet I have for the onslaught of emotions I had and am having this weekend. Let me go through the list of these emotions in further detail:

1.) Pride
I had felt this when I watched my fellow athletes (specifically volleyball and basketball players) play and triumph over other teams in their respective games. It put a smile on my face seeing them do why they love to do and be successful at it.
I am most especially proud of my team, who I consider my sisters. I have no doubt in my mind that they had fought until the very end.
2.) Anger
The first instance I felt angry was also during the time we had watched the said games. Whenever a volleyball player from MC would serve the opposing team’s crowd would boo and yell horrible things at her. It was just disappointing to see people who probably knew very little about the sport (and the extreme composure it takes to serve a ball properly as well) verbally attack players like that. Going back to pride, I felt this once again when I observed the crowd on our end. The parents never yelled anything at the opposing team’s players or shouted obscenities and I am proud of my school and the supporters for this display of sportsmanship.
3.) Jealousy
That ache in your gut when you realize you’ve been replaced. But you can’t blame anyone but yourself and your ignorance.

My upcat’s on sunday and I’m nervous out of my mind. Although the school I’m aiming for is Ateneo it would be an honor to pass the upcat. My mom was from up diliman and I’m already feeling the pressure. Out of the 71,000+ student who took the upcat last year only about 3800+ were accepted at up diliman. That’s roughly 5% of those who initially took the upcat. Knowing this isn’t comforting at all :(( Hard work + tiwala will have to get me through. (and of course stock knowledge) Pray for me and batch 2013 guyss!

I’ve been home for about a week now and I’ve started school right away since I missed about a week of school. But thanks to my classmates and friends I’ve adjusted in a snap!

GYLC

My experience at GYLC was absolutely amazing. The people, the places, the information that I had the pleasure of experiencing definitely makes the jetlag, sleepless nights working and adjusting to changes in school all worthwhile. It’s been about 10 days since the conference ended and I miss everyone sorely, but thank the heavens that the world today is metaphorically smaller because of the internet so I can contact the awesome people I met at GYLC. I’ll be flooding my blog with pictures from the conference to fuel my nostalgia (Since it seems like it won’t be going away for a looong time).
